Business Education
Throughout the nation, too many students are graduating from high school
unprepared for the demands of work. The Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce
recognizes our unique opportunity to be a liaison between the business
community and the schools to help prepare students for life beyond high
school. We are concerned with building relationships between educators
and students and the businesspeople of Skagit County. Through these
relationships, the Mount Vernon Chamber can create programs such as our
Speakers Bureau to bring businesspeople into classrooms. We will continue
to develop mentorship, job shadow, field trip, and internship programs for
local students and businesses to help develop the local workforce.

You’ll find speakers on many topics, their bios, and their contact information. You may contact them directly, but please have your students fill out the evaluation forms and return to the Mount Vernon Chamber for record-keeping purposes.
