Please join the members of Skagit Women in Busines as we award scholarships to nine deserving local women who are returning to school after experiencing gaps in their education. Our annual scholarship awards ceremony usually held in May, the “Spring Fling”, was delayed due to COVID-19, but will be celebrated virtually on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, via Zoom. While not our typical in-person gala, the event promises to be just as inspiring as we hear the stories of women working to build a better life for themselves and their families by forwarding their education.

Tickets are $20 and benefit the scholarship fund. The event will begin online at 6:30 pm. This will be a virtual event. Detailed information on how to join the event will be emailed prior to September 15, 2020. Please visit the SWIB website to register.

ABOUT SWIB

Skagit Women in Business (SWIB) is comprised of individuals in business and the professions in Skagit County. The organization was chartered in 1980 to provide an informal place to promote networking, encouragement, information, and idea-sharing, as well as to present a forum to address business concerns and issues.

SWIB maintains the founding policy of inclusiveness and welcomes people actively employed or seeking employment in business or the professions. SWIB meets on the first Tuesday morning of each month and presents scholarships annually to women in the community who have experienced disruptions in their education.
