Councilmember Mary Hudson Appointed to State Advisory Board
City Councilmember Mary Hudson was notified today in a letter from Governor Jay Inslee that she has been appointed to the Washington State Affordable Housing Advisory Board.
In the letter, Governor Inslee asks Councilmember Hudson to “take personal responsibility for making sure the Affordable Housing Advisory Board operates in a way that is transparent, responsive and focused on implementing lean management tools to achieve results.”
Hudson said that she is honored to be able to represent a small city in the affordable housing discussion.
“I often feel like decisions are made that are more geared to larger municipalities,” Hudson said. “They don’t translate well to cities of our size, or smaller.”
The appointment to the board begins immediately, with the term ending January 26, 2024.
