New Logo Revealed for Little Mountain Elementary

Little Mountain Elementary School has selected its new official school logo. The Mount Vernon School District worked with local designer, Eddy Sheldon, to present a design that represents resilience, compassion, and the eagerness to learn that is demonstrated by our students. The Little Mountain Elementary School community selected the final design. The new logo retains the school mascot and colors, while portraying a more modern and timeless image.

The process began when Little Mountain staff assessed the previous logo design in the Fall of this school year, and determined an update was needed. The district assisted them with the lengthy process of graphic designer selection, design options, logo selection, and final decision. Designer Eddy Sheldon worked with staff to bring to life the Little Mountain Elementary Lion!

“We are excited to have an updated logo for Little Mountain,” Principal Susan Husband said. “It was important to have input from our broader school community, so we asked our students, families and staff to vote on this new logo. It will be fun to have a modern logo on all of our school information and gear.” The staff is excited with the new design and eager to start the 2021-22 school year with a transformed Lion that is ready to energize Little Mountain staff, students, and families. The Lion represents the school’s commitment to continued excellence, combined with a new strength and perseverance. Go Little Mountain Lions!
