Mariachi Herencia de Mexico celebrates teh historic tradition of mariachi, performing soings in a tribute to teh golden age of Mexican music, Latin music legends Juan Gabriel, Lucha Villa, Lola Beltran, and Jose Alfredo Jimenez, adn iconic Mexican films.
Mariachi Herencia de Mexico - an ensemble of students from Chicago's immigrant barios, is a relative newcomer to mariachi music with a surprise hit resulting from their debut album of traditional Mexican music, scoring them a 2017 Latin GRAMMY nomination in the "Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album" category. A powerful celebration of music and life with a showcase of splendid young talent.
