Peoples Bank Announces Promotions at Real Estate Loan Center for Skagit and Island Counties
Peoples Bank announced the promotions of Nate Walley to Real Estate Loan Center Manager and Kari Kennedy to Assistant Real Estate Loan Center Manager to support the growth of the Bank’s Real Estate Loan Center serving Skagit and Island counties.
Nate Walley, Real Estate Loan Center Manager
Nate Walley brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He previously served as a Mortgage Loan Officer at the Burlington Office in Skagit County.
“Purchasing a home is one of the most important investments many people will make in their lifetime,” said Nate. “It is a privilege to assist customers through this process while providing an enjoyable and positive experience. Helping people is core to who I am as a person.”
Nate was born in Sedro-Woolley and grew up in Anacortes. He is active in the community, providing rides for seniors and veterans to medical appointments through the Volunteer Center of Whatcom County and delivering meals on behalf of the Bellingham Food Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.
Kari Kennedy, Assistant Real Estate Loan Center Manager
Kari Kennedy, formerly a Digital Mortgage Loan Officer at the Mount Vernon Financial Center, also brings nearly 20 years of banking experience in Skagit County, where she was born and raised.
“I love helping people and want them to succeed at whatever goal they have in mind for their financial future,” said Kari. “I want to be the person who can help guide new home buyers to the right resources and financial products.”
Kari has volunteered her time serving as Board Vice President for the Home Trust of Skagit, a community land trust organization that provides opportunities for affordable homeownership and rental properties. She is certified to teach financial education courses and home buying seminars and has supported Junior Achievement, the Relay for Life of Skagit County, the Skagit Asset Building Coalition, and the Skagit Women's Alliance and Network (SWAN).
Kari earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School, the premier national graduate school of banking, and holds an Executive Leadership Certificate from the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
