Open House and Lunar New Year gathering at Middle Way Acupuncture Institute
Middle Way Acupuncture Institute will host an Open House and Lunar New Year gathering January 31st, 5-9 pm Friday evening, at its new location at 617 West Division Street, in Mount Vernon, Washington. It will mark Middle Way's grand opening of its new location and as well as the Chinese Lunar New Year festivities. The school will provide vegetarian and meat-based dumplings and beverages and invites the community to join us to celebrate our new healing space and the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Snake.
Middle Way Acupuncture Institute, an East Asian Medicine school for budding acupuncturists and herbalists, has relocated from its home on the third floor of the Skagit Co-op to its new and expanded location at 617 West Division Street, Mt. Vernon, Washington. The Institute, just two minutes from its former location, made the move in August of 2024.
"We are very pleased with our new location and our expanded clinic availability. Moving into this new space, which has an additional classroom for our new herbal certificate program as well as an expanded more modern kitchen, will allow us to host a variety of classes that will make great use of the new amenities and spaciousness of the relocated school," said Linda Ballantine, owner and Financial Director of Middle Way.
The larger space and street-level entrance give the school the opportunity to reach more patients with an expanded schedule. The community that Middle Way serves will now have greater access to pain management, stress management, and help with other issues that East Asian medicine can treat with acupuncture and its adjunct therapies.
"The expanded schedule will allow newly certified graduates as well as in-house practitioners the chance to serve more people while not interfering with the educational aspect of the school," said Dr. Sharon Adena, Director of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Studies at Middle Way.
"We are especially excited to be able to offer CEU's for current practitioners ranging from cooking with whole foods to Chinese Astrology and the five elements. The kitchen's expansive nature and modern conveniences make it a fabulous place to hold class gatherings focused on food, herbs, and their impact on medicine and our bodies," said Helen Sanders, Executive Director of Middle Way. "We are thrilled to be in our new home and look forward to welcoming new students, new patients, and practitioners interested in the work we are currently doing."
