Adopt a Yard for a Senior and/ or Disabled Member of our Community this Summer!
We are looking for volunteers willing to adopt the lawn of a senior and/or disabled client in our community!

 

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and able to safely operate a lawn mower and weed eater.

Street Outreach Volunteer

Ongoing| Skagit County

Street Outreach Volunteers will contact people experiencing homelessness who appear to be suffering from Substance Use Disorder. Volunteers will be assessing their needs for clothing, food, personal hygiene, and connecting them to local services.

 

Volunteers will also be assessing if people are opioid users and distributing Fentanyl or Narcan kits. In addition, volunteers will be developing relationships with clients built on trust to help move them to pursue recovery options when they indicate they are ready.

25th Annual Skagit Valley Highland Games

July 13-16 | Mount Vernon

The Celtic Arts Foundation is looking for help in a range of areas from volunteers with a variety of skills and abilities for the 25th Annual Skagit Highland Games.

 

Volunteer shifts are 3 hours in length with morning, afternoon, and evening options available. There will be a Volunteer Orientation on July 11th at Edgewater Park from 6-7 PM.

 

As a thank you for your help, volunteers receive a complimentary Family Weekend Pass, which provides free admission for four people (family or friends) both Saturday and Sunday.

Feast & Frolic Volunteers

Mount Vernon

Viva Farms is throwing their 3rd annual Feast & Frolic in the Field event. They are looking for volunteers to help out in a couple of different roles.

 

·     Event Promotion/ Outreach Volunteer

·     General Event Support includes tasks such as set up/ tear down, check in, selling drink tickets & Viva swag, waste management, table attendant, auction spotting & recording & more!

 

In exchange for volunteering, volunteers receive free admission to the event, farm-to-table dinner, ample breaks to enjoy the event, and Viva swag.

Donation Truck Ride Along

Ongoing | Skagit County

Do you have strong hands and a love of meeting people? Volunteer your skills on the Skagit Habitat for Humanity donation truck! Join their donation driver to pick up donations and drop sold Store items off at their new homes. Explore Skagit County while saving gently loved furniture and housing materials from landfills. Every donated item sold at the Store goes directly back into Habitat for Humanity's mission of safe, affordable housing. If the environment or affordable housing makes your heart beat (or if you just love exploring our beautiful Valley!) join them on their Donation pickups!

Raffle Sale Volunteer

Summer Position| Multiple Locations

This summer Helping Hands needs volunteers to help sell raffle tickets for a motorcycle. Duties will include going to tabling at events and selling tickets.

 

Shifts are in 2 hour blocks volunteering closely with Helping Hand's Development Manager. There are a number of events this summer, so there are plenty of opportunities to help!
