HKP Architects’ Christine Baldwin earns Professional License, Promoted to Project Architect

Christine Baldwin recently earned her professional license to practice architecture in the State of Washington and has been promoted to Project Architect at HKP Architects. Licensure requirements include holding an accredited degree, working under the supervision of a licensed architect to obtain the number of hours of experience required by the National Council of Architectural Registration Board’s (NCARB) Architectural Experience Program (AXP), and to passing the rigorous Architect Registration Exams (ARE).

Architectural licensing is overseen by the State of Washington Architectural Licensing Board.  The purpose is to ensure that practicing architects have the knowledge and experience to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Once licensed, registered architects are required to earn a required amount of Continuing Education credits on an annual basis to maintain their license.

Christine has been an instrumental team member at HKP since 2014, and has worked on significant projects including Housing Hope’s Twin Lakes Landing, Orcas Island Public Library Expansion, and the Western Washington University Consolidated Academic Support Services Facility, among many others. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
