Logo Revealed for Mount Vernon School District’s Newest School
After nearly a yearlong process, Harriet Rowley Elementary School has finalized its school identity with the selection of its official school logo. The final logo design
selected was by local designer, Laura Heptner. With its school colors and mascot selected in the fall, this was the final step to complete the school’s identity.. The Mount Vernon School District opened a contest to its community through the month of February for local designers to submit Orca logo designs. With over thirty entries, the committee reviewed many quality designs and ultimately chose the one that best represented the school’s setting, namesake, and growing culture. “Thank you to all the talented artists who entered the contest. It has been a long year with many first, but definitely worth the wait,” said Principal Patricia Shanander. “ The Harriet Rowley community has eagerly awaited the unveiling of our new school logo and could not be happier with the image that it portrays!”
