Pinecone Inc. Opens Showroom Doors to Public with Soft Opening
Pinecone Inc., a Mount Vernon-based kitchen and interior finishes firm, opened its showroom doors to the public with a soft opening earlier this month. The brainchild of co-founders Rich Callison and Angela Forson-Nelson, Pinecone Inc. is the result of more than two decades of industry experience and a mission to fulfill a niche in an untapped market. Blending eco-friendly design and construction alongside a wide range of unique and sustainable materials, Pinecone Inc. has found a way to minimize its footprint while also offering aesthetically stunning designs.
“We are so thrilled to finally open our showroom doors and share our passion for design with the public,” said co-founder and principal artisan Rich Callison. “Our goal is to customize designs that bring to life the vision our clients have for their homes all while making sure our construction is environmentally safe and friendly.”
Pinecone Inc. has a passion for and equal depth of knowledge surrounding green design. By having eco-friendly options as materials available to clients, they can minimize their footprint and concurrently reduce possible health hazards during construction and afterwards. The co-founders proudly stamp their names on custom solutions that offer an easier and safer environment for their clients to live in, all while preserving the visual artistry behind every design.
“We encourage our clients to dream big as far as design is concerned while also being as green as they want to be,” added Callison. “Our strategic partnerships expand our access to a wide range of unique and sustainable materials not immediately accessible to the public. This includes everything from 100% recycled paperstone countertops to reclaimed wood and 0% VOC floor finishes.”

Located on 1st Street in downtown Mount Vernon, Pinecone Inc.’s 1,100 sq. ft. showroom takes customers on a design journey. The beautifully crafted space highlights their wide ranging vendor partners with flooring, cabinetry, stairs, and countertop samples throughout. Vendor partners include but are not limited to Bauformat and Crystal (cabinetry); Woodpecker, Urban Floors, FORBO, and Amorim (flooring); Neolith and Caesarstone (countertops); and House of Forgings (stairs).
The showroom is currently open to the public but is practicing proper social distancing measures and adhering to COVID-19 restrictions. Masks are required for anyone who enters the showroom.
