Please Remember Your Mask!

With holiday gatherings right around the corner, and with Skagit near the top of the list of COVID outbreaks among Washington State counties; the City is reminding residents and businesses to please persevere in your adherence to simple guidelines established to help keep each other healthy.

The tragic loss of over 130 Skagit County lives to COVID-19 has impacted nearly all of us in some way. Please honor those lives by continuing to do all that you can to prevent the further spread of this virus and its variants.

“We’ve all gone through phases of vigilance and fatigue during this pandemic,” Mayor Boudreau said. “Ultimately this comes down to making a few modest and simple lifestyle changes for the benefit of ourselves and our neighbors.”

Residents are encouraged to get fully vaccinated, and businesses are reminded to uphold the (September 28, 2021) Washington State mandate for face coverings. Residents with concerns about a business that is not in compliance with State mandates may report violations on the Washington State coronavirus website (coronavirus.wa.gov/report-violation).

In Washington State, wearing a mask that covers your mouth and nose is mandatory, with very few exceptions, “whenever you are in a place where any person from outside your household is present; or in a place that is generally accessible to any person from outside your household.”
