Whidbey Wine Cellar an evening to benefit CADA of Island County
On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. In the span of one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men. On a typical day, there are more than 20,000 phone calls placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide.
Citizens Against Domestic & Sexual Abuse (CADA) is Island County's domestic violence and sexual assault agency. They provide free, confidential assistance for anyone affected by these issues. The Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce has partnered with CADA to organize the Whidbey Wine Cellar, a fundraising benefit to support survivors of abuse.
We will have tastings from Whidbey Island restaurants and sips featuring local wineries and breweries, music provided by a DJ, and opportunities to win prizes. Some of the featured auction/raffle items include a ride in a limo, a massage from OHM, various gift certificates, an instant wine cellar, and 99 bottles of beer. This meaningful event will take place on October 7th, from 7pm-10pm, at the Elks Lodge in Oak Harbor.
