Port of Skagit Welcomes New Real Estate Director
The Port of Skagit is pleased to welcome Seth Wallace as the new Director of Real Estate.
Seth brings a vast amount of experience in real estate and property management to the Port of Skagit. Most recently, he served as the Assistant Director of the Department of Enterprise Services with the State of Washington. In that role, Seth managed the Real Estate Services division of DES, and was responsible for 700 leases totaling more than nine-million square feet of office, retail, classroom, laboratory and warehouse space, on behalf of more than 100 Washington state agencies, boards, commissions and colleges.
As the Port’s Director of Real Estate, Seth will be responsible for leading and directing the development and management of the Port’s real estate portfolio. This includes leading the Port’s property development and redevelopment initiatives, helping to define the highest and best use of properties, and identifying target markets and industry sectors that align well with the Port’s strategic plan and priorities. Additionally, Seth will help identify funding sources and develop financial strategies for the diverse, long-range work being done by the Port at the La Conner Marina, Bayview Business Park, Skagit Regional Airport, SWIFT Center and the emerging Watershed Business Park.
Seth replaces longtime Director of Real Estate and Business Development Scott Peterson, who retired at the end of April after 22 years with the Port of Skagit.
