Skagit County Fair Changes Annual Run to Thursday-Sunday
Starting in 2024, the Skagit County Fair will now run Thursday to Sunday, a change from the Wednesday to Saturday format it has been the past few decades.
“Having the Fair open on both weekend days allows for greater community access to the event. We are excited to offer additional opportunities for participation,” said Skagit County Fair Manager Aric Gaither. “In researching the change of days, the response from stakeholders was overwhelmingly positive. There is a lot of excitement in the air!”
Plans for next year’s event are still in their early stages. The Fairgrounds asks that you check their social media pages and website for more information in the coming months as details develop for the 2024 Fair.
“This change will create more opportunities for visitors to enjoy the Fair all weekend long,” said Brian Adams, Skagit County Parks and Recreation Director. “Not only does it create more hospitable hours for fairgoers, a Sunday provides the exciting opportunity for new programming.”
The 2024 Skagit County Fair will run August 8-11. The 2024 Fair theme is: You Herd it Here…Skagit’s GOAT Talent. The Fair is encouraging all local residents to get involved and showcase their skills at this year’s Fair. Information on how to enter art, quilts, flowers, canned goods and much more will be posted online this Spring at www.skagitcounty.net/fair.
